Looks like a really nice ramp and facility, might need more parking as people find it. They did have signs up last weekend I noticed when I went to the station for the parade.

Looks like a really nice ramp and facility, might need more parking as people find it. They did have signs up last weekend I noticed when I went to the station for the parade. There is parking for a small number of boats on on the side of the road with the ramp - but the main lot is across the street. But all well done - got to work with the land you have to work with I guess. Sort of a silly winding walking path down to ramp, but done that way for wheelchair access of course. Would have been nice if they had put in a few set of steps for a straight shot as well. Signs are up from VA-666 on in to the ramp - did not notice if there was one on VA-122 where you turn onto VA-666 or not..... I was talking with Ken Stump from AEP and he said that bathrooms are going open year round - no running water in them I guess - basically glorifed outhouse, but when you gotta go, you gotta go and sure nice to have something there. Will be serviced every other week during the winter and weekly during spring-fall. I did not notice any trash cans and such - and heard from the AEP Comms director that this was a main concern from one of the neighbors to the ramp - hopefully folks are decent and haul out what they haul in.....

Only thing that bothers me is busy weekends, might be parking problem, with our driveway right there at the top of the hill, we have signs up, but some people don't pay any attention to signs. The bathrooms over behind waterwheel are the same type, one of the septic tank companys pumps them out. Nice to have a new ramp on the lake, the others get heavy use. Like I said on another post they sure did light it up at night. Was talking to SeaTow and they are going to put up a PFD stand there for people to borrow a PFD if they don't have the correct one, like the ones they have at the other ramps, them and BoatUS have a grant to do it. Was just looking at the pictures again, sure would have been nice if they would have put some lights on the pier. Might be able to catch bait on the end of the ramp on a slow night with the light there.

Very nice facility. How much parking do they have for the dock fishermen and looky loos? Maybe they should add valet parking for a fish dinner.

see much bait around there? Seemed to be a lot the other night when we did the parade. Surprised you didn't post any fish pictures. We rode down on a golf cart from the station and it was a right steep long walk to the top and across the street to the larger parking area.

Not much bait - we caught a few fish in the birds just up from the bridge then went into exploration mode to find some new fish and it didn't pay off - sometimes it does - sometimes it doesn't!
