9/16 report
Headed out from moormans around 5:45 and went up into beaverdam. Threw game changers, topwaters, streamers, and at least one kitchen sink at every boulder, log, flat, and even some wide open water with nothing to show for it except some over zealous warmouth that kept things interesting. We saw no action whatsoever, nothing attacking baitschools, no suspicious surface activity, and no follows.
Headed out of the creek after dark and worked loud poppers around docks and riprap shorelines, but agian, aside from a couple willing warmouth, we had nothinhg to show for our efforts. Hit a dock with some security lighting and again got no love.
Heading back in we got a nasty surprise. My boat is equipped with "shark eye" halogen headlights. Apparently these run off the same fuse as my nav lights. . . Which I discovered shortly after we began our run back to the ramp when everything on the boat went completely dark! Thankfully my gps runs on a separate fuse, so we managed to avoid running into anybody or anything, but it was a good reminder how quickly things can go unexpectedly south when fishing after dark!
