More details in the FLYFISHING SML thread under artificial lures, but the Stripers were active yesterday evening in the ROA arm downstream of Mormans. They were scattered, but blowing up bait balls all over the place - enough to get your heart pumping! Fished from about 5:30 till 8, and my buddy landed one (on fly). We wasted too much time going up river towards the Hardy ramp. The lake has to be turning over up there - it was muddy as I've seen it in a while and the water literally looked like it was boiling. Bubbles were coming up from the bottom as if the whole river was going to boil over. Temp was lower than I expected too, I think I saw it in the low 70s on my unit, which surprised me. Crappie fishermen didn't seem to care, they were all over that part of the lake.

Got my blood pumping just reading it! My buddy called today on was the way back from SML. Went down to PU his pontoon. But fished out of his john boat a little, said he was on them for about an hour in the S turns. ?

Best of luck. I'm jealous! No encore. Saw a few trollers hooked up and heard reports of schools rising briefly, but no dice for us. Got one little largemouth on the fly and had one striper come after my buddy's fly. Holy hurricane though, between keeping the boat positioned and fighting my flyli e, I was as busy as a one armed paper hanger!

The day after a front never works for me. A few more days from now should be good.
