Jack with a pass crab or tarpon candy as they are sometimes called I've heard of using crabs and wondered: how does one get a crab onto a hook?

First you break his claws off. Then you wiggle a 5 to 8/0 circle hook thru the side of his shell from the bottom up. Force it and you break his shell.
