I have seen people post the most asinine things and defend them to the ends of the earth despite being completely and utterly wrong.(Unlike this place, )........getting involved in something like that can drive you crazy - because the least likely thing to happen is a thoughtful, civilized discussion searching for information to form an opinion. A lot of people use it to show off ..........and I could not care less what someone had for breakfast..... and if I haven't seen you in 20 years there is probably a good reason for that.

They need to call it "frontbook". Your life. . .how you wish it was. Never heard of a post that began with, "today, my life was crap. Again"

This is the same way I feel. I signed up on Facebook long enough to see what goes on there and haven't been back.

Gator - I like your style - may now have to break out some Homestead Creamery for a late breakfast I think - I mean, its dairy - you have milk with cereal - why not ice-cream

Facebook provides me: - an opportunity to make all my "friends" and family believe I am a great father and a wonderful husband
- an opportunity to thank the lord I didn't marry a bunch of women who are now 200 pounds more than they were when I almost married them
- an opportunity to provide doctored up pictures so these same women can wish they had some of this
- an opportunity to give a crap about what Bigun had for breakfast
- a sense of false security
- a reason to not care about my real life via real conversations that are not happening right now
- and finally, a sense of satisfaction when I delete my "friends" from my life... FOR GOOD!!! ...never to refriend again!

I've send a note over to Dan Wilson to check - IF it passed, it was going to come into play in 2015 - but its unclear to me if that means the slot would move on Jan 1, 2015 - mid-period, or not till the slot comes back into play on Nov 1, 2015
