OK rant... What is it with people thinking they fish any body of water that is on private property as if they own it? We have a small farm pond on property across our private road from my house of which I am part owner of. The other day I come home and there is a truck parked on the private road and 2 guys fishing the pond. I yelled across the pond "Who gave you permission to fish here?" and then got back in my truck and drove up my driveway. The two guys promptly got in their truck and left. Well today I go out to mow the grass and the same truck and one of the same guys is down there fishing again. So I decided to go pay him a visit. Good thing I did because he had 3 Cats on a stinger and was going to take them home. I had some words for him, made him release the fish, and kicked off the property while telling him next time I was just going to call the cops. Why is it that people think they can fish a private pond and plan on keeping fish out of the pond knowing they don't own the pond or the property around it? Sorry for the rant but gets real irritating when I spend the time to stock and up keep the pond for my family and my neighbors family just to have some idiot come and take the fish out that has no business even on the property.

It's no telling what he has took from the pond. Useless people! Same as a thief. Don't won't to work for there own, so have to take it from somebody else. As many thousands of acres of lake access to people in va, they would prefer to fish a farm pond. Shows what kind of fisherman they are. Gripes me as much as it does you mytoys!!! This is why the good guys can't get access to the farm ponds! There is a farm pond the next ridge over from my house and want to fish but drive the 15 min to fish public lake that I have to catch 25 fish to get one keeper

My cousin had the same problem with his pond for years, people would sneak in and fish it and keep the fish out of it. Plus they used live bait in it and let them go and the pond got carp in it, took us years to get them out.

My biggest gripe about it besides its just down right wrong, I spend the time and money to put fish in it so when my little one is old enough to start fishing I can just take her there and teach her what fishing is and hopefully get her interested. Like I was telling my wife, what makes people think that they can fish, catch, and then take fish from a pond/property that they know out right does not belong to them nor is it public property such as a state park. I think I might start bring home one of the tire boots and booting their cars till the cops show up ;D
