(Thanks self!). The water conditions were amazingly good considering the amount of rain. I hope you still decided to go. ( why thank you self, I sure did and I caught a few too!).

Thanks for the input. Sorry I never fish the Roanoke side. I am only allowed to fish the Blackwater. Have not graduated to the big boy side of the lake.

Gator - all the dang fish are on your side of the lake anyway......
Greenmonster - good thing you got out Sat AM ahead of the rain - I expect those conditions looked a lot different Sunday - when we rode into Grimes creek on Sunday mid-day it had colored way up - can't imagine what Lynville would have looked like or what was coming out of the river into the top of the lake.....
It's hit & miss with folks responding to condition reports - a lot of time just due to the timing or location of where they are or are not - but it does elps folks when you can...

Friend that lives on Lynville about half way down said it was really muddy Sunday. Way it poured Saturday most of the streams was running high. River was up a little yesterday still stained at Salem. I didn't go down Hardy Road Saturday to see how river at Hardy so I can't say what it looked like.

Haha, NOW you guys respond! I actually fished Sunday instead of Saturday. Definitely not clear but only slightly colored at mormans and much clearer out towards lynville but i stopped up river of lynville itself. Lynville was probably pouring mud in that was drifting further down the lake. Keep in mind that I was expecting it to be downright brown and full of debris so i was pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, i figured low probability of a response in time, just thought Id report back in a way that made folks smile. Btw, you probably dont rmember but you sold me a portable depthfinder a few years back. Used that thing forever and finally sold it when I bought the new boat. Thing worked great so a long overdue thanks.
