I believe it is time to buy a new trolling motor. The one I have is 13 years old and is cracked and a problem to keep under control. I am looking at a bow mount Terrova 80 with I-pilot and foot control. I would like to buy it locally if the price can be competitive with the on line stores. I know about SML Marine Electronics but are there any other distributors for Minn Kota near the lake?
Would appreciate any feed back on the Terrova as well.
Thanks for the help.

Some of your bigger marinas like Websters, SM Boat n Tackle, and Conrads can probably get you one, if they don't already have it. Also, in Roanoke, Sportsmans Warehouse and Gander would be two places to look.
I got mine few years back at BassPro using their credit card..saved 10% and got a $100 gift card then just paid it off and cancelled the card. Of course, I was right by one at the time, so it was convenient.

If you wait until december, the Ipilot will be available to interling with the humminbird nav unit that has ethernet capabilities. That means you will be able to move your curser on the fishfinder to the fish you see and then tell the ipilot to take the boat there.
I bought mine from W+W novelty in Lynchburg. Steve matched the internet pricing.

The Hummingbird/MinnKota i-pilot Link looks like a killer app for our kind of fishing... I sure hope Lowrance has an answer to this, because being able to plot/store all of my favorite trolling routes on a bigscreen and fish on autopilot will probably trump my mild preference for Lowrance fishfinders.
