Everyone be careful, should be a orange 25' up from the coast checking safety equipment. Remember children 12 and under must wear PFD's. Please be careful out there.

I got to speak with them today - pleasant and friendly enough - I think they were just happy to find someone to check

Heard there wasn't a lot of traffic for them to check, might be better today.

Interestingly enough, they were heading straight for us today. I swear they saw we were working a massive school and decided to change course and left us alone. I was amazed. And there was little to nothing for them to do. The fish gods were with us today.

Well they left Yammy and I alone on Sunday morning but this morning I was reeling in a fish and here come the blue lights -- the guys from the coast guard could not of been nicer --- just didn't have my throw seat available - so just a friendly warning - Truly I think they just wanted to see the fish I just boated or maybe because there was not another boat for a 1/2 mile up and down the main channel? all is good

Glad you didn't get a ticket. Thanks for telling everyone, remember the throw cushion must be out and available.

Guess they didn't want to have to come out of their cabin in the rain

The increased daytime patrols are good but the fatalities on SML are happening at night. Is the CG also stepping up patrols after sunset?
