I got my boat in August of last year and took many lumps and skunks this past Winter. The past two weeks though have been worth the time and gas put in during the frigid times I spent on the water. My last three outings have been pretty good. I had a really good outing on 7-12-14 and 7-19-14. The biggest fish I caught was 34" and I now have some meat in the freezer. The best thing I have learned is that networking with the right people is crucial and I thank the ones who have helped me. I also learned I need a trolling motor with ipilot anchor feature. I will be getting one someday but with two kids starting college and one kid turning 16 my priorities are them right now. Until then my cheap fishfinder and drift technique will have to do. I am actually catching fish and that makes it so much easier to get up at the buttcrack of dawn. This past weekend was awesome with all the boats up river watching everyone on those fish. Especially want to thank Dave and his boat banging tribal beat!
