June/23/2015 One this I found with my HDS 7 when it comes to side scan is you can't really go wider that 60' if you want a good screen shots.. if you go out to 100 or more the fish show up so small you cant see them.. Just something to think about if your in the market for a HDS.. I would try not to go smaller than 8" if you can.. HDS 7" 60' wide scale:

Some thing I learned is on side scan take it out auto rang and run it 3 x the depth so if you running in 40 foot of water run ur range out to 120 feet

And... if you look real close at the tree, you'll see eight spoons a hanging, 30 cicle hooks a sticking, four flukes a flopping and a striper with a new Hew pole.

This is absolutely crazy i just got the elite 9 ti and played around with it last weekend. The one thing i see here is i am doing the bait thing all wrong, and side scan is new to me, still trying to figure it out. The only places we ever caught gizzards were upper lake i love pulling baits but still trying to get dad converted he likes to anchor down. Were is a good place mid lake to get some nice gizzards? We mostly catch alwives at night under lights. We are going up again tomorrow evening mid lake.

There were some decent gizzards in the back of Walton Creek mid-day today.
