Marks3465249756239 took advantage of the new board to change his screen name to "Blackedout" and he proved to be worthy of this new name this weekend. We saw plenty of this.... And it led to a bit of this.... The fish were down in the trees or schooling just over the top. We found them pretty quickly about 1/2 way back in a major creek and they seemed to be making a steady move out towards the main river channel through the morning. They were schooled up good in the trees but you sure were not going to stay on them long. We jigged our little hearts out, banging those flukes off the heads of stripers all morning and given the # of schools we kept going over I'd thought we would have hooked into more, but we hooked 5 with a couple that had VERY quick releases boat-side. Thanks for having me on..... we could not have asked for a more perfect summer-time morning of fishing weather wise. Surface temps had cooled a few degrees to about 81-82 and it was a beautiful overcast, still morning till about 10:30 or 11 or so when the sun finally started to peak through the clouds and start to warm things up.

That 1st and 2nd pic has a solid layer of trees from around 55' to the bottom. The fish were just so thick you can't see them We did find them over some clean bottom as well I guess.... but there was plenty of treeage going on....
