Hey Folks,
Looking to come up to Va to Bass fish Smith Mountain Lake and possibly Philpot with a friend in the Fall, maybe late Sept-Oct. I'd like to get some advice on how to fish these lakes.
What's the best way to fish Smith in the Fall? Docks and cover? Off of the points? Deep?
I've read that Philpot is a clear and deep lake and can be tough. Much like our Norris Lake down here in ET. Do you all deep crank it or fish deep of the points with plastics?
Thanks for any advice.

Stay in Tennessee and fish Douglas Lake...went there last week for 4 days with a bunch of friends...this is the best lake we have ever fished as far as catching numbers of fish...I caught over 100 in the 4 days and that was down a little from previous years

I fished lake Moomaw 2 weeks ago and caught 70 small mouth in 2 days. That was a really good Va mountain lake too. Also had a good average size of fish
