Well based on these stats, yeah. I'm sure there are many folks on here that have caught citations that haven't reported or applied for them. I haven't applied for one in years. We put only 5 in the boat last year, but none was applied for citation. Now of course I'm getting my butt kicked so far this year, LOL. My last outing during that crazy bass tournament last weekend(before the storms hit) we caught a nice 4-5 lb smallmouth and a largemouth a bit bigger. Kept trying to put stripes on them. LOL

Did you catch any 27lbs or bigger?

It also has to be a certified weight, so unless you kill it or have certified scales, it will not count for angler of the month. The bottom line is there's plenty of people willing to kill SML stripers...but not many people catching fish over 25lbs with any regularity at all.

Wow, did you see the April 2013 striper caught at Claytor? Wish I was fishing this weekend but gotta do the wife duties- Church Hill Downs here we come!!!!

man i have never caught a SML smallmouth. they must all disappear when i get there or something lol. caught plenty of largemouth. i have even caught what me and my brother in law believed to be a musky fingerling, but that smallmouth has been ever elusive from me. im gonna get one there one day, count on it lol...
