Just wondering has anyone had experience with these tanks? I'm not sure I want to wait around for an SBT and the dimensions of the EZ will work better in my rig.

They look a lot like the old SBT's inside and out. I saw those a couple of weeks ago on CL and for the life of me can't find and actually company website for the, so I am thinking that marina had aquaried some of the old SBT's and slapped their own sticker on it.

One of our buddies just went down to NC and got a 30 this past weekend. Very similar to the SBT but has a Venturi on the bait side vs using the aeration plate on the bottom of the pump.
No light, uses wind nuts vs latches - kind of like the older SBT's before Ron revamped them
I expect that tank will see some bait this week.....

They look good from what I can tell. I haven't seen Nathan's in person yet, but it looks like a carbon copy of a vest. The stock aerator is actually better than a vest I think and you could easily add a dannco if so desired. The wingnuts are only difference really, but what I would do is add a latch like the vests have to the bait side and leave wing nuts on just the filter side. The top will be much more secure that way, but still have easy access to the bait side.

Tyler, the wingnuts are one of the reasons I put the brakes on with these tanks. If a latch could be added for the bait side it would be more enticing for me. It is a 4:30 hour drive ONE WAY to go pick one of these tanks up for me or $200 to ship so that is making it hard for me also. The other thing I didn't really like is that the water capacity ratings are based on the entire amount the tank can hold, not just the bait capacity. So the 25 gallon that I am interested in is really only 22 gallons on the bait side (according to Tony, the distributor.) If I could fit a 30 gallon width wise in my boat, I'd do it. Unfortunately, for me the only way to get a 30+ gallon tank on my boat with a comfortable footprint is with a Grayline. And no way Im paying $600 for only 20 gallon capacity on the SBT tanks. You guys think I should aim for the EZ flow, or go for a larger capacity grayline? I dont want to make a hasty decision......

Also looks like there is no rubber seal around the top of the tank where the top sits. Hmmmmm, seems like a lot less good features on these EZ's.

Apparently there is a seal on the lid - but not on the inside lip like on the SBT-II. Nathan was going to try and take some pics. I have a few videos he recorded that I'm trying to get uploaded to Photobucket or YouTube.

My super II has a seal and it splashes water out everywhere at times. Same on my Creekbank at times...the Creekbank was much better though actually as far as that was concerned bc the lid latched down better. The new latches on the super II aren't very tight but it does beat screwing on/off wing nuts. Keep in mind I do not trailer my boat though. If I was trailering it much, I would be concerned the lid may blow or bounce off. A Creekbank lid secured right couldn't blow off...a new Super II lid probably could in the right circumstances.
Can you fit a 30 in your boat? I don't recommend less than 30gal unless you only fish with small herring most of the time. If width is your issue, look at the 35 Super II...it's the same width as the 20gal..same length as the 40gal.

Sutor, I will give you my two cents, as I have had a Grayline and a SBT. I would stay away from the Grayline. The Grayline tanks are really well made and are super tough tanks But, I spent more time cleaning there small filter than fishing. After fishing with some friends that had SBT I noticed they would not have to clean the filters much and they would just worry about fishing instead of babysitting there bait. I couldn't take anymore so, I cut off the front seat of my boat and took out my 25 gallon slim line Grayline and put in a 30 SBT and have never looked back. The SBT are great tanks. In the defense of Grayline: The Grayline was a 25 gallon and I went to a 30 gallon SBT... But, if you had 30 gallon Grayline VS 30 gallon SBT.. The SBT would win hands down because the filter design on the Grayline is not the best. My old Grayline with seat: Cut the seat off and slide in new SBT: SBT = happy bait

Yeah, don't rush this decision. When it comes to striper fishing, electronics and your bait tank is everything. I would chose between the EZ flow and SBT. I have never heard of the EZ flow until today so, I can't give you any input on them..

Mike, thanks so much for the videos. And please thank Nathan for me (if hes the one who made the videos.)Tanks looks super legit.
Tyler, thanks for the input. I actually have a 20.25" space that will fit the 25 EZ into it perfectly. I think 21 is just a hair too wide. I guess I could try and figure out another spot for the tank. I had a plan to get the tank up near the bow because my boat is only a 16' aluminum. I just dont want to bog the rear end down. So you think the extra 5 gallons will make or break it for me?
Fishon, your setup looks great. That sure is a ton of herring you got into that tank! And they all look happy. I agree, no grayline for me!
Thanks again guys for being so informative and supportive.

Yippee..looks like I got a job to do once I get mine. 0 water escape and trailer ready quick release. And for an extra touch, my sbtii will fold out into a bed. Shewww..good thing I didn't get the grayline. The tank in the front looks great FishON!

Well guys, I decided to pull the trigger. I got a 25 gallon EZ Flow and am picking it up either this Friday or the next. I talked to Dewayne's dad and he told me that Ron still hasn't started building his tanks yet. Dewayne even told me that after he saw Chris' EZ flow tank that he was thinking about getting some of them in to keep his customers happy. He said he really liked the tanks.
Tyler, I appreciate your input in relation to the size of the tanks. I'd love to have a 30+ gallon tank, but on my current rig the 25 will be much more comfortable. I already have a 17 gallon pro flow in the back of the boat that works well for the messy gizzards because it circulates lake water through and back out of it. Obviously this wont work in the summer months. Worst case scenario, if I need another 25 gallon tank she'll go in the back where the 17 currently is. People are fitting a ton of bait in their 30 gallon tanks so I cant imagine that the 25 would have that much less of a capacity.
All in all I am happy with my heavily pondered choice. I'll let you guys know how I like the tank once it gets here.
