Anyone fishing it? I going to give it a try and going on a wild hawg chase tonight near the dam hopefully I won't be skunked and packing back down the river by morning!! Floated from Brookneal to Clarkton Bridge yesterday caught 1 and my brother caught another with plenty being caught by people we passed.

The winning fish has came from up that way every year. I know its a few schools of fish up there.

Well shiat...what are the rules...just catch it in the Staunton and check it in at Brookneal? I may give this a crack next year when Im better prepared.

You got to register at brookneal on Friday before 8pm and can fish from lesivlle dam down to difficult creek witch in near buggs island. Weigh in is at brookneal boat ramp.

Buzzard, I'm catching small bucks 6-7 lbs and haven't caught a female yet. Piper, the tournament is held at Brookneal boat ramp by Dixie youth baseball. The boundary's are Difficult creek up to Leesville dam.

I caught 7 fish today all but one were females one keeper all on white got there at 2 ish until dark

I didn't get a look a the striped board but a 44lb blue cat got 1st and two 34lb blues got 3rd in the catfish turny.

11 is all? and a dang 6.5lb Lmb won the Big bass tourny on the lake and snagged a new boat..wow

11lb striper is above average for buggs island and the rivers unfortunately. The year I fished the tourney at brookneal a 7lbr won and was the only keeper caught and weighed in I believe.
