Any thing in Shad colors, chrome and black, chrome and blue, white or pearl with a little yellow in them or maybe a blue tint on the soft baits. Most of the larger minnow plugs, shad raps, cotton cordell, bommer thundersticks. Manns, Rebels. If they are breaking just about anything will catch them.

I have good luck with Strike King crankbaits. Rapala Shad Raps and Scatter Raps are also good! Wake Baits do a great job at night when the shad are up on the banks. I mainly use natural shad/bluegill colors in clear water and go with something brighter in stained water. PM if you needs specifics.

Rattle Traps can work well. I have had success with them early in the morning this spring.
