I was wondering if anyone is using the Shimano Tekota 500lc reel fishing Smith Mountain?
I have always used abu garcia reels but i am going to buy some line counter reels and would like some feedback from you guys?
Thanks.

I just started using them and love'em. They are more expensive but you get what you pay for. Very smooth drag. I use the TEK300LC and then replaced the double crank handle with the TEK500 single handle. Matched with a 7' light medium Ugly Stick, they are awesome! I would definitely endorse them.

They are awesome! I think Shimano makes the best stuff nowadays. That dartanium drag is solid and they're all smooth as silk. And they hold up great unlike the Abu reels I've bought.

I was hoping someone liked them, I bought some of the ABU 6500LC'S but did not use them yet and plan on sending them back for the Tekota's
I really like the looks of the 6500LC'S they are sharp!!
Thanks for the feedback.

Tekota's all the way, if I had the funds, I would replace all my LC's and planer reels with these. I have fished them from SML to the coast and they are great reel.
