Very tough today...fished last Sunday and did good...today was much different...the water temp is starting to come up so the fishing should improve greatly...started to see some fish cruising this afternoon but they were not interested in biting anything I offered...I guess I'll have to go back next weekend and see if they are more cooperative

Had a lot of luck this morning with shakey heads. Landed 8 lost 2 and broke off two more on hook set. Using very light line. Fished from 7 to noon.

Cold front turned that pattern off pretty quickly. Caught 6 yesterday with a few break offs and many lost fishing on their first jump. . Tons of bites. Went out this morning when it was still warm. Got two right away. Lost another. Then a cool breez started to blow. Got a few nibbles no real takers. Then nothing for two hours. I fear some of the best fishing I have ever had at SML is done for a while. Going out for stripers tomorrow and the next day with a guide. Hopefully he can keep it rolling.
