Greetings, Hit the lake for a bit On Saturday...8am - 2pm ..turned out to be a wonderful day. Water temps range from 46-48 depending on location...they dropped significantly up river..which seems to be the opposite for me. Struggled to locate bait in reachable depths for about 2 hours. Most of it hanging tight to the 50 foot mark. I dont bother until I see em in 35 foot or less these days. Did locate some decent schools of bait up river..low and behold they were white bass/perch. Seemed like every throw I was catching em. Finally landed some gizzards and pulled a few boards throughout the main channel. Bait and fish scattered with decent marks. Landed one 22" striper on a light line..with 1 miss and a few nervous baits. Nothing exciting but it was my buddies first ever striper and thus he's hooked. Didnt have the heart to tell him it was a baby until he asked...so how big do they get...uhhhh 2-3x that size This did have gill maggot sacks as well
