Just looking for thoughts on whether anyone pays attention to Solunar tables? I personally have never paid attention to them but in trying to figure out why I didn't get any bites at all in 4 days of fishing a couple weeks ago and then the winner of a tourney this past weekend pulls in a 20lb + bag, I came across a solunar table that showed the days I fished were very poor and the tournament day was very good even though the air & water temps were pretty much the same... Maybe there's something to sun, moon & feeding times?

That's interesting that the tables got the fishing conditions correct a few times. I've never paid much attention to them though.
The guys who caught 20+ in the tournament do that every year. It is rare for them to not have upper teens in March. They've just got so much experience on the lake, they're always hard to beat.

No bites in 4 days?...Did you have on your tournament jersey? How about your depth finder, side scan, Hydrowave, Go-Pro camera, Power Poles? Don't know about the solunar tables, I just fish whenever I can, it beats working

My daddy always said to look at the cows, if they are up and grazing fish would bite, if they were laying around go anyway you might not catch anything but you would enjoy the day anyway.

I didn't even see any dang cows Don't have a tournament jersey although I do have a Yamamoto t shirt & hat only cause I've bought so much stuff from them, they sent me one I'll be back at the end of the month and fortunately the tables say the fishen is supposed to be great! Hopefully the weather agrees and the water temps will be up enough for the bass to be in pre-spawn. Look like it's still only 43`today...

Not a lot of cows along the lake any more, we had to walk through a pasture to get to the lake then. If we get some warm days and mild nights the water temperature will come up.

Yeah, thanks CorneliaGale, that is a good tip. There are some cow fields on Bull Run where I'll sometimes see some cattle.

Yeah, I just saw the Anglers Choice tourney results from the 8th; 18.94 to win it and the solunar tables said it'd be a poor day. I'd take that weight on any day

Did you notice that only 275 total bass were caught by 187 teams (about 370 people)? That's pretty poor, haha. Plus only 18 out of 187 boats had 5 fish limits.

Yup, you're right, I'd guess at least 200 of those guys got skunked
