I've got a decent boat, I've got decent equipment, I can cast a lure pretty decent, I know what line works with what rod, reel, & lure. I have 1/2 a clue about seasonal patterns & I can catch fish decently in every season except winter. The one thing I don't have that decent is a fish finder. I have a hummingbird 525 that doesn't do a great job of showing bottom contour and has a very narrow beam. I'm curious as to what folks might think about investing in something better. Is it really worth it, do you think it would significantly improve my winter success rate? Thanks!

I can't say....I just posted the results of the small trail I usually fish....I think a fast boat and binoculars would be my best tool right now lolololol.....at least I would have a general idea anyway
