Jack and myself headed down to High Rock Lake for some crappie fishing. There was a tournament so we decided to enter. 7am til 3pm this past Saturday. We got to the lake and were greeted by very brown water with lots of floating debris. Not ideal conditions. We fished with minnows, shad, and jigs. Tried deep, docks, and shallow. We caught one fish! and it was a bass! 20 boats entered and I think only 3-4 weighed in the 7 fish limit. We couldnt get to some of the lower creeks since my t-top wont go under some of the bridges. Our normal "hot spots" didnt produce. We made the best of it and had alot of fun in the warm weather. It got us out of the house and we always have fun fishing. We'll probably head up to SML in the next few weeks for some striper fishing so hope to see some of yall.
