7/31 Report: Bait : Got Alewives at 3:30AM off of a deep water light Techniques : Down-rods with 2oz egg sinkers Fished from: 6AM until 10:30 AM Place: from the bridge toward the dam. Headed out at 6:00am with my 7 year son in hopes of getting our 4 fish limit and providing a little action for my boy. Spent from 6:00am until 9:30am driving around on the hunt for a school to setup on. Then at 9:30am, I finally started marking a few fish in the trees. The fish were holding in 30' to 40' of water down in the trees. We spent the next hour fishing around the tress and caught our 4th and finally fish at 10:30am. The fish were all small which is perfect for this time of year. I like to release any big fish I catch, that I think will make it so they can keep growing. We ended up doing OK, but it wasn't real easy out there. Overcast: First fish off the day: Last fish of the day:
