Looking to buy a pontoon trolling motor new or used. If anybody has one or knows someone that has one for sale. Or if you guys come across a deal that I should know about. The Minn Kota PD V2, 54# or 68# thrust, 48" shaft is what seems to be out there to purchase new. Didn't see much from Motor Guide??? Pontoon is wired for single battery 12V already but have room for two I think? Thanks for your help.

I have the Terrova 80 I-pilot on my 24 foot pontoon and would not use anything else. I think the PD V2 is I-pilot comparable as well. The I-pilot is a must for me and the 80 lbs thrust give me some power in the wind and two batteries give me the power capacity for lots of fishing time before I tie up to a power cord.

Good info. The motor selector on MK suggested the PD V2. I will look into the terrova also. I also have 24' pontoon. Thanks.

Definitely want the I pilot, a pontoon has a lot of sq. footage to work from.

Another consideration is shaft length. Two schools of thought being long enough to keep the motor in the water given non-glass surface conditions and length that will be sitting on the floor when retracted. I picked the 60 inch length opting for keeping the motor in the water under most conditions and also helps see the direction the trolling motor is headed with the front gate closed. The mounting bracket (removable from the baseplate) is off center to retain as much as possilbe use of the gate area for getting on and off. The mounting plate permits removal of the trolling motor for times when the cover is installed. Good luck.

I have a 55 pound, 54 inch shaft, Minn Kota Powerdrive V2 with the I-pilot, wireless. It is practically new and has only been used for a season.....make me an offer.
It is currently on a 22 foot pontoon. Has performed fine pulling boards, free lining, and downlining for Stripers.
