Liability reasons.. Im fully insured for night time charter trips. but the risk of having paying clients aboard well after night fall is just nerve wracking to me. We've had some close calls in the past, and I don't want to continue putting clients at risk.
Lee get in touch with me come spring, theres a good daytime flathead bite.
As for night fishing charters.... ive been kicking around the idea of bowfishing for carp on SML.. But here comes that Liability thing again...

Lots of good catfish information on Chad Ferguson's website. He now has a signature rod that attracts catfish. Also several other products that look interesting. Catfish Edge

This guy is one of the best on the James --Eberwien's Catfishin' -- he has a site to visit and has been doing it all his life -- and he can put you on some big river stripers if it is the right time of the year -- Hopewell area -- 4 of us booked with him last year and it was the worst trip I've ever had. He pawned us off with his son because he was fishing a tournament. We never went more than 300 year from the dock and only got two bites in 12 hours. They promised 30# fish, but didn't even have a scale on board, but then it didn't have a steering wheel ether! He used a tire iron to steer it.

Never said I knew him just the stories of monsters most of the time. sorry for your bad trip -- 12 hours is long time to sit on a boat with tire iron as a steering wheel. Must of had comfortable seats for a 12 hour sit.
