My buddy has an "aftermarket" t-top in a box that can fold-down - he used to keep his bay-boat under a car-port type thing much of the year and needed the ability to fold it - it was doable - pop out a handful of allen bolts and fold it down - could do it with one person though 2 made it easier.
Can't remember if his was Fishmaster or Stryker - there was a worry about it holding up, bolts working loose, etc - but he's had it on there 2, if not 3 seasons now and it seems to have held the test of time..... Pretty sure now its a Stryker....
BTW - moving this thread to the boat section...

I was thinking about putting a bimini top on the jon boat for the kids and I in the summer but haven't done it yet. I did find this site that seemed to have good prices on them. I know nothing about them other than pricing but thought i would offer the site as it seems to be cheaper than most of the normal places to purchase one. www.boataramadirect.com/bimini-tops/Jon

Really nice to have some shade or protection from the elements, T tops are nice but limited in coverage, my son-in-law has a bimini on his covers the back part of the boat good, front not so good. My pontoon has a top that covers the back half, and I most likely will add a cover to the front of it for next year, The biminis hold up good, just remember to put them down if you trailer. Last one I bought for a runabout I had I got off ebay, just started watching for them and finally got a good deal on one. For wife and kids you need something. Just make sure to get one tall enough to walk under, some of them are on the short side.

Hey SKiff, I've had one on my Scout that's removable. I put it on for long trips, rain, sun, stripers and leave it home when bass fishing. It folds down onto the deck. When its up I would not recommend you run up and down the lake with it on. The wave action and wind force are not conducive to keeping the connections to the boat secure. Get yourself 4 of those snap in snap out clips, that makes is much easier to put it on and take it off. I can pm you with the type I've got if you want. They're excellent on hard rain and hot sunny days.
