I have the Navionics card - you can get on-going updates, though to be honest I don't now how often it gets updated for SML - in theory user-generated content submitted by folks is updated, but I wonder how much.....

Still, it has better detail/contour info than the Lowrance base or Insight Maps. The Insight HD maps may be close to comparable.
