Jack and myself decided to take advantage of the 68 degree weather down in Plymouth again yesterday. The stripers are on the small side but alot of fun. Think Jack had fun... We caught around 20 stripers... The water was little stained and that might explain why we did better with yellow than white... They have gar down there and I've never actually tried to catch a gar, but when I see this on the sonar.... I'm gonna give it a shot. So, I tied on a hopkins shorty and went to jigging. Caught a striper and thought I was on to something. Then I snagged this boy... About a 10 lb gar. Anybody got any idea how to catch these things? They are loaded up down there and they get pretty big. We had a blast and are hunkering down for this cold front!

Jack is getting big. Those boots are mine that he is wearing! Catfish, I tried dead shad(had some frozen ones). Didn't get touched. I'll give the sunfish a try. Somebody mentioned tying a piece of frayed nylon rope to a jig. Said it would get tangled in their teeth.
