Stopped at Mormans this morning to take a look at the conditions. The water is muddy with lots of trash floating, saw several large pieces floating on top. Be careful running if you put in on that side of the lake.

Light stain from grimes and normal below Indian on Roanoke side but also some big chunks floating in the channel so use caution.

Striped yam took care of one of those logs with his boat. It was one piece before we hit it and two afterwards.

Blackwater was much of the same on Saturday. Starting at Magnum the water was stained and the closer to Ponderosa the more muddy the water. Lots of BIG logs and other debris too. Water seemed to be much clearer from Magnum towards the cliffs with less and less debris.

Apparently I was the "blockade runner" this morning as a bass boat followed me down lake through the debris. Oh, and it's a mess in some spots. This was at the tennis courts this AM - course with the 50 mph wind gusts it may not be there any more.

Hey - just consider it a SML rite of passage.... as the saying goes - it's not IF you hit a log.... it's WHEN......
