Hey guys. I'm Tim White. Live near Beckley WV. I am mostly a bass fisherman but I've decided to give striper fishing a go. Getting tired of paying a guide every time I want to go out. I'll probably mostly striper fish at SML in the winter months. So any advice or help you want to throw at me will be appreciated. So far so good. Everyone has been extremely helpful. Thank all you guys that have responded to my questions already.

Welcome bigt, The advice that folks are willing to give here is solid advice. Only way to learn is to get out and get a hook or 5 five wet. Don't be afraid to post your successes and failures. Fish and fish and fish is the key. Stripers are like most fish they have patterns and when you think you have them figured out--BAM, they fool ya. Just remember to have fun.....'cause it is. Tight lines and catch'em up and release 'em too. Gator

Thank ya sir. Don't worry about the release part. I always do. Turned 3 large mouth pushing 10 lbs loose this year. All my friends called me crazy. But not one to keep fish other than DNR stocked trout here in WV. Only reason I keep them is because they probably wouldn't make it through the summer anyways. All you guys have a happy new year.
