I just got word from Dan - only 24 diaries turned in for 2015. Come on folks - that's sad.... everyone here benefits from this fishery, and keeping the data for a catch-log is trivial to do - and can benefit you long-term. Its a little extra work and you have to remember to send it back in, but this is important info to help collect.
Make a effort to keep this log in 2016 and send it back. You don't have to fish weekly to do so - even if you only get out a few times a year, this is helpful info.
I can send you an electronic spreadsheet copy which makes it easy to record and send back to Dan - or DGIF has paper logs and we'll have some at the Striper Club meetings (and I will also try and get some for the upcoming Striper Mafia tournaments).
This is an easy way that you can help with the on-going management of the fishery..... step up.

I'd like to have an electronic spreadsheet copy for 2016 if possible. As a moderator are you able to see my email associated with my account?

That's disappointing Mike. I just got my diary reward check in the mail from Dan, its a nice little incentive for what I would do anyway. This information helps Dan make decisions that will effect the future quality of the fishery. Let's all do our part!

It is VERY disappointing. 2 years ago mward reported that 29 diaries were turned in. You'd think with all of the folks that participate in the forum we would have better participation. I personally think that Dan needs as much info that he can get.

Thanks, Mike Has anyone come across an "APP" for logging trips/catches/skunks to your phone or tablet that works?

Well since I didn't get an immediate response to an "APP" for logging fish data. I did a little searching.... First: If you download the Microsoft Excel App from the APP Store you can use mward's template by downloading it into the Excel app. Then you can fill in your fish data thru your phone or tablet. Of course than this data can be exported to Dan Wilson when needed. Second: The other App I found that was or might be useful is the "PRO Fishing Journal" App thru the APP Store. The things I like about it was it delivers today's weather to you, GPS, & you can pre-load what tackle you would normally fish with (or you can load all your tackle into the defaults). It is free to try out, but it is $1.99 to get the full version. It says you can export your data, but haven't tried this out yet, but would be nice as a back up. Anybody use these?

I just fish with the Mward tracker so I don't even need an app. Really that's his only value - he misses most hooksets, can't steer a minn Kota to save his life, and is an nc state fan, but dam if he ever misses a fish's length. ?

Don't forget to turn your 2016 Fish diaries in to Dan Wilson ASAP in January. He usually needs them in hand by mid-month.
If you need any help with contact info, or need an electronic copy of the log template (Excel format), drop me a PM.
