Okay so now I have really put my Xtratuf2 boots to the test. Yes, these are made in China, but supposedly have been improved due to customer complaints. These are the boots that the Alaska fishermen wear.
The good is that they are incredibly warm and the muck aspect make them incredibly comfortable. I never wear 2 pairs of socks.
The bad is that they do seem to get a bit damp. I'm pretty sure this happens as a result of the boot being porous somewhere rather than it being sweat or water coming in from the top. So once again... Bentrod is right as he said it's hard to find a totally dry boot.
I will say that my boat has water in in all the time from cleaning and dumping buckets of water. So my boots do get submerged quite a bit. At the end of the day, my socks are somewhat damp but still my feet are not cold. I just wish I didn't have to dry them with a hair dryer after each outing.

Should have gotten the MUCK wetland boot Yam . Never have my feet ever been damp , wet , or cold. Even standing in water. Just wear a thin pair of socks with them.

I spend 3-4 weeks in MT every year hunting elk and cats. It is cold too. I wear a simple, light insulation Rocky boot that is waterproof. More importantly, good socks and a sock liner. Never wear cotton in the cold weather months. Opt for the smartwool socks with a good liner. Your feet will stay warm and dry. Warm and dry = more time on the water. Although, cold is relative.

Follow up on the XtratufII. REHASH- Most comfortable boots I have ever worn
- Feet stayed dry at first but then I started noticing them getting wetter by days end. Blew it off as sweat.
So then about three weeks ago I took another close look at them. And sure enough, both boots were cracked in several of the same locations. Cracked all the way to the liner. Man...this sucked! I then called customer service and not only did they send me a return, they sent me an extra return and another drink Cooley (the best drink Cooley ever made)! I'm pretty sure the second pair was a mistake but I'll take it! Yesterday, I waded in the water and even the muck part was water tight. My feet were dry as can be at the end of a very wet boat day! R22...notice any cracks in yours?
