Hello folks. I am new to the area as I just moved to Verona..JMU professor. I am a striper addict. I learned on Lake Anna and was once told that if I ever fished SML, I would never come back to Anna. It's been 3 trips now... And OMG....see ya Anna! To make a long story short..I drive a 197 Pioneer 150 Yamaha cc. I can/will pull bait but prefer artificial hunting. My adrenaline can sometimes get the better of me but I do my best to treasure and throw back my catch and to respect my fellow fishing addicts! I graduated from Tech with an environmental engineering degree and consider myself a steward of all creatures and water habitats. I am also a freaking nut and like to have fun before anything else. I love to jig spoons and although I won't pee you off with my big motor...you might get pissed when my spoon lands smack dad in the action that is closer to you. On the other side of the coin..if I see some goodies..and you are close by...I will invite you over to join the party.
Bottom line...I am your new neighbor and you will be seeing me quite often during the non-summer months. I am coming down in a few days for a week. Don't be shy to ask what I know as I am a scientist who won't sleep and I like to share info.
Over tgiving (m.t.w prior to)..I essentially had the whole Roanoke to myself and have hours of GoPro video of me..the birds..the busting fish..a broken net via too much weight...and some rather comical mishaps. All in all..we caught well over 30 fish on spoons and thundersticks from 5 to 16 pounds and only saw one boat during the three days. I'm still jacked!
Cheers,
StripedYam
