I know that some of you guys head to the Chesapeake Bay this time of year for stripers. I know it may be late on planning a trip this year, but maybe next year and I am beginning to check on guides and places to stay. Just a wild hair with relatives in for Thanksgiving. Any suggestions?

For guides - check out Rockhound Charters - does light tackle / eeling. Others may also - a lot of them troll exclusively. Each guide may head out if different areas so check with the one you book.
As the fish move out of the bay and down the coast, check with Ocroake Island Fishing Center for ocean-side.

I am familiar with the Outer Banks. Going many times. But mainly spring through fall coast/boat fishing. I am interested in some saltwater striper fishing.

Also check with LT charters..light tackle charters. I think Ready2fish booked them this year, so maybe he'll give a review/report when he gets back in mid December.
Kenny Short here at SML runs charters down there too. He's probably a really good option too. I almost think the lake fisherman pulling a full planer spread with trolling motor do better than most of the salt guys drifting.
