Weird Black Spots On Largemouth...??

Greetings,

I fished Leesville lake today. While drift fishing I was pushed pretty close to a rock outcropping and had this LMB nail one of my shad. When I landed it I noticed some weird black markings on its head and tail...Even check out that lower fin...

A quick google search seems like this does happen from time to time ...this first Ive seen however...

Has anyone else ever caught one of these?

I have in February and just figured it was something to do with winter or something

Looks like melanosis to me.

These are "Birthmarks".... just like people, some have them, some don't
