First trip to SML this past weekend. Rented a place at mouth of Bettys Creek. Went out Friday evening and fished Indian Creek, after picking up a awesome custom build rod from Mark. Thanks again Mark and I'm afraid to use the rod. It belongs mounted on a wall or something. Caught 1 fish Friday eve about 26-28". On the water way too early Saturday. Fished down by park in Walton Creek then went back up to Indian and further up all the way to #62 without any action. Took a break and went back out about 5 and fished in back of Bettys. Caught a nice 32" there so that made my day. Went back out way too early again Sunday. The full moon helped with seeing. Looked all around the back of Bettys for breaking fish and found none so I started trolling just at sunrise and out did myself by catching 2 by 9 AM. Both about 26". Headed back to the house and called it a successful weekend. Heck even my wife had a good time ! Looking forward to next trip already.

Nice report and good job on picking uo some fish.... that moon was SERIOUSLY bright - when I was out Thur evening about 10:30/11 running down the lake I looked back and thought my spreader light was on it was so bright.....
Were you fishing live bait or trolling artificials?

just using bait from Captains Quarters....not talented enough to throw those casting nets....
