The carpet in my 20' fish n ski is getting really worn out, and I am considering replacing it with a textured bed liner such as durabak. (http://www.durabakcompany.com/) I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this? It will be applied onto fiberglass which according to the website is not a problem. I am curious if this will make the floor of a boat "non slip" enough for fishing, especially when getting bait. Also if anyone has happened to have used this product, they have a normal version, and a UV-resistant version for $30 more per gallon, just wondering if the UV resistant version was worth the extra money. Any thoughts, concerns, comments you guys have on this subject would be appreciated!

I have read posts on The Hull Truth (www.thehulltruth.com) where guys have had Line-X applied. Apparently there is a specific formulation they use.

I have read up on people doing this as I am probaably going to be replacing my carpet in the next year or so. One thing to keep in mind is dont get black. You also want to make sure you get a textured coating. A smooth coating will be slick when it gets wet. Its a little harder on the legs and back if standing all day and if you lay your gear down on the deck it is a little more prone to deck rash. In order for you to get a good adhesion you need to make sure your prep work is done good and right. If you have compartments in the floor you will have a gap as the carpet takes up some space to make it a tight fit. The nice thing about it is that you can just hose out your boat when you done at the end of the day and not worry about the carpet holding the water.
