I've fished Trilene XL line for over 30 years. The lightest being 6 lb. & the heaviest 17 pound. This line isn't stretchy, hasn't much memory, & has been strong enough. I've used it for bluefish in the surf, smallmouth in the rocks, & a few stripers. Having not fished anything different for all these years am I missing something better?

Its good line, I've used it in the past, still use it once in a while. Mostly I buy the large spools from Bass Pro now. I used Silver Thread for years and loved it now you can't find it. I always say use what works for you.

Thanks guys. I know there's a lot of new stuff out there but I've been so happy with this line I've stayed with it.

I've been using Suffix 20 lb on my live-bait reels. About to spool some with Berkley Big Game 25 lb.
My spinning reels & my jigging outfits get braid. PowerPro is my favorite so far - may try the PowerPro 832 next time...
