Well them impulses got the better of me.. My gut said stay home but I think Im in addiction stage right now.

Put in about 330 fished til 730.  Water temps back up in the upper 70's.   Went to the bait hole to find it empty...bait heavily scattered and hard to catch this go around. Went to another spot and tossed on some flips to land a net full of white perch (im guessing)  I least I wasnt skunked for the day   Back to my bait hole 1 more time to locate about 2 netfulls of gilled peanuts. Finally found some bigger gizzards in super shallow water about an hour later  

Anyways fishing was SUPER slow.. Saw a bit of topwater action hitting scattered balls of shad in the main channel. Trolled over these spots to locate a number of small schools..Fish were scattered everywhere, not really schooled up. I havnt experienced that yet.  My honey hole was dry until just after 7. Not sure why it took so long for them to move in but they did. Put 2 in the boat at around 5-6lbs. Had a few more hit the shad but Im assuming they were smaller fish.

So no skunk but it was work this go around...still having a blast!    Sunday it is.

Thanks folks, Glad I wasnt going crazy. To be honest I kind of liked the challenge a bit although I wish the fish were bigger (dont we all)

Shadslinger, My offer still stands if you wanna jump in Sunday. We're going out earlier than planned though. Plan to meet a friend in Altavista at 8:30am and be fishing by 9 or so.

Not sure what ramp you are using but a good chance the ramp at the dam will be locked....saw a memo on bugg island that most of them are gonna be closed at 8 pm tonight until......I know one tourney had to be moved from grassy creek to Clarksville .....I think the ramps at leesville and smith mt are state ramps and not federal so everything may be bizz as usual
