Air temp about 84ish Water about 83. Put in about 1pm and fished until 7pm. There were a TOOOON of boats out today. Not sure if there was a tournament or what but ive never seen that many. Most were pounding the banks Im assuming looking for largemouth.
Caught our bait no problem (tons in the lake right now) and headed to my usual haunts. Wouldnt ya know 3 boats were hanging out. 1 tossing topwater 1 trolling umbrellas and another downlining. We located 2 medium size schools ..had several hookups but nothing in the boat
.. We did land a nice 3lb largemouth caught on shad 
.. Talked to another guy at the dock. Said they hooked 20 but put 10 in the boat...lost the others. Live bait on down lines. I did see the troller put a small one in the boat. Still hanging in that magic 25ft of water.. I will say the schools were much more picky about depth this time. They hit the ones in the designated zone but wouldnt touch the others.
