Greetings, Well I didnt let the foul weather put a damper on things. I decided to venture out around 2pm til 7:30pm. Water was cool and around 74 deg. Very breezy. Went to my standard bait spot. While I didnt see the big schools of shad like i did a week ago they were still there. My new bait tank setup worked quite a bit better so pleased about that. After that I headed up river . Not sure of the specific names and locations. I just hauled tale for about 5 minutes I went to my spot from the previous week and spotted a few fish so I decided to start above them and float down. Before getting to my spot I located another school about 100 or so yards up from my previous location. You know your on em when you cant put the rod in its holder before you have a fish on. Caught or hooked all fish within a 15-20 min window. Hooked 2 but both threw the hook Caught a 3rd that broke my line (knot tying error) but it felt like a solid fish Put 3 in the boat before alas I ran out of bait . Caught a 22" 24" and 25" ..All were VERY aggressive. Caught on live bait in about 25ft of water. No phone so no pics sorry. I will say I switched from a 2oz to a 3 oz weight and the catch rate went down. Not sure if this makes sense or is pure coincidence?
