I got some decent gizzards at the light this morning, so told myself I could go out for about an hour. I hit the usual spots around here and nothing. Was thinking I ought to hang it up when a rod went over. It was about 8 lbs. I was working on getting the hook out when another rod went down so I dropped the fish, hook and rod in the boat and grabbed the live one. I hadn't been working on that more than a few minutes when another rod bent over, but I had my hands full, so I tightened the drag and left it in the holder. The fish still took out line and by the time I got the 2nd fish (8-9 lbs) in, the one in the holder had found a tree to hang on. Lost the hook but saved the weight. Then I had limit and the fish had pulled me away from shore, but I still had some decent gizzards so I set up again and rowed back over the same spot. Tips twitched when I got near it, then one took off. That one was 12 lbs (didn't get the length) and swam away okay when released. Then I headed in. All were on 1.5 or 2 ounce weights, hand sized or bigger gizzards, 25 ft down or so (wild ass guess) pretty close to the Yacht Club sign (near the mouth of a creek). Mid afternoon. Lots of cloud cover but no rain. Have to love the Sony auto focus. These were 8 and 9 lbs. Around 29".

Nice, that's always the way it goes, but man its fun when a couple of rods go down at the same time.
