Went down to Myrtle for a couple of days and had a chance to get out a couple of hours each morning to do some fishing. The first morning was a trip to the baitshop and scouting some spots. Found a great looking area at an inlet and threw out a buffet of finger mullet, squid, Gulp precut strips in Crab flavor and some Fishbites squid. Ended up with a mullet, 1 decent flounder (16"), a shark and a big spot all on the Crab strips. Was watching everyone and the trick was live finger mullet so we went and bought a small cast net at BPS for the next morning. Came back and bait was easy once we figured out how in the hell to throw that small net. Totally different than my 8 ft Cracker but it was pretty cool to be able to hurl it 20-30 feet out once I got the hang of it. Fishing was slower and I used up my last Gulp crab strip (I couldn't find them anywhere in Myrtle)on a 13.99 inch flounder. We caught one keeper flounder and another shark on the live bait and headed home the next day. It was fun to get out and try a different type of fishing for a change!

Them little nets are a pain to throw, first one I bought was a four foot and it never threw good, bought a 8' and it throws so much better, glad to hear about Myrtle, will be going down that way in a few weeks and hoping to find something to jerk on our lines. Had some fun last year with the gulp baits, mostly use squid down there, am planning on trying some fiddler crabs this year if we can find them in the marsh. Was hoping the finger mullet was around so we could catch some of them. Thanks for the report
