Thanks for the info. I'm planning for fall fishing. The techniques I use will be different although they are common to most on the forum.

I look forward to hearing about your techniques and successes. The techniques will be new to me, planers, light lines, morning and evening fishing. Also catching mongos will be new to me. Just wanted to clarify. I'm not going to reinvent the wheel. Haha

Just got in from throwing at my dock light trying to get some practice in until my boat gets here. I was able to catch several dozen ales, problem was they were all tiny. About 2-4 inches. Looked like M Wards picture of that tiny one using the keys as scale. Am I doing something wrong or is that how it goes some nights? Gonna get up at 4 this morning to try again. Thanks.

Try not throwing directly under your light..... the bigger bait will hold in the darker areas around the spot of your light a lot of times.....

Since you said "types of bait ON sml) and not "types of bait IN sml"..... I've had 2 different people tell me this summer that they catch a lot of stripers on chicken liver (even told one of them I would share my ales with them..... they said nope, would rather fish with the liver...... could this be BentRod and mwards secret weapon? ..... MONGO chicken liver!!!!

Ha - I have no doubt the stripers eat chicken livers - they will eat cut-bait..... I've never user livers and only cut-bait a couple of times.... I have a hard time sitting in one place that long....

Since we're talking about live bait, how do you keep live chicken livers frisky without the rest of the chicken? A special additive to your bait tank? Voodoo?
