Hey folks, gonna try catfishing tommorrow eve. Was going to try the sand bars/humps in front of tri-county for White cats and channel cats. Any other ideas or suggestions appreciated. Is the back of Old Woman's any good for cats?

Pretty much anywhere you wanna set up and fish should be descent for channel cats. Points, flats, or creeks. Dont sit on a spot long if there is no action. try another. Im not sure how familiar you are with the lake but just a heads up. There is alot of trash in the lake, full size trees, logs, you name it, its probably floating out there somewhere. Especially after all this rain we had. After dark is very dangerous at anything above idling.

Tks, Just Moved to LVL last spring up around Mile marker 9. Now that I have the house more or less squared away plan to get a little more focused on fishing. Starting with cats and learning bottom structure/ contour then moving to Stripers, Bass and Walleyes.
I hear you on the trash. Its a pain but then again it keeps the jet skis away. I fish a 17' tracker deep-v w/a 40hp so I'm not setting any speed records out there. LOL
I'm open to suggestions on tactics. I know the level fluctuation, current, temp changes, etc. from SML releases make LV a little tricky and hard to pattern. Going to put a light on the dock for getting shad.
