I did not know Rockfish, but I knew a couple of older guys that taught me how to fish for stripers on SML, one was Randolf Wright, I guess he caught as many stripers out of SML as anyone, had the state record for about a week, the other was Mike Wright he also caught a lot of fish out of the lake and was a willing teacher to any one who would ask questions. Thats one thing I hope to do with this forum is to help people who don't know how to fish for stripers learn and catch them. They can be a hard fish to catch and then some days they will seem to eat everything in sight. As we build up some reports you get a idaa of when and what they are biting on, also learn to look at the banks so you can figure out where the fish are being caught. Most people will not tell you, you have to learn that for your self.
