Got out a few days this week. Had the pleasure of having one of my lake neighbors and his son-n-law aboard. He has lived on the lake 40 years and had never been striper fishing nor caught a striper. We had an absolute blast. Did good everyday except friday.... mostly scattered fish and smaller bunches....still looking for the motherload. Cloudy mornings, with not much boat traffic, floats & boards produced......later in the mornings, all downlines. neighbor and his son-n-law (first stripers for both) Neighbor and his grandson (first striper) Bait Thieves Saw BentRod out and about friday night. Chatted a little while...good to see ya bud. BentRod and his crew on some fish saturday....looked like the kids were having a blast.

Yep - with the new moon, and it being "up" during the day, having all night for the lights to pull the bait in should make for easy bait in the early AM - one of these days I'll learn to just to to bed about 9p and get up at 3:30a or 4a and make it one and done...... Just don't trust it when I have guest to take out if I get out and things have changed and can't get bait early.... of course when it goes in the tank at night I just don't sleep well worrying about it going belly up, so you can't win either way

Yep - with the new moon, and it being "up" during the day, having all night for the lights to pull the bait in should make for easy bait in the early AM - theoretical deduction??? = irreproducible and unsubstantiated results. You are waaaay to smart for this board!!!!! .......I just go by, if they ain't there at night, they prolly there in the morning. lol

I just meant that sometimes when you have full/partial moon that's up in the latter part of the night / early morning that it seems to scatter the bait off the lights, so at those times it seems easier to get bait earlier in the night than the AM..... with a new moon, or when the moon is overhead during the daylight hours, it does not become a light source to scatter the bait.....
