Looks like Saturday will be the first clear day this week, came over the river in Salem today, up a couple of feet and coffee colored. With all the heavy rain remember the upper ends of the lake will be heavy with debris, some floating and some just under the surface. Remember Slow speeds and keep a good lookout.
Also remember the fireworks Friday and Saturday night, be careful and watch out for other boats. DGIF will be out, The SML fire department and USCGAUX will have boats out to assist you if needed, SeaTow will also be out. I will be down at the fireworks Saturday night,give me a shout on 16 if you are down there and want to say Hi. CorneliaGale is my call sign. AUX25971 we will be on 16 and 83 and have radio coverage for the lake that night.

They say Saturday might be clear, pouring here in Salem tonight, river was muddy and up a couple more feet than last night.

Just heard that SML may go a foot over full pond, make sure to check your docks and boats.

I been working nights up at the Va Hospital in Salem and it was a mess last night trying to leave. Roads closed and flooded. Once we got on the south side of roanoke it wont to bad. But alot of water headed to the lakes and river from this past week.

Yea when I left Salem last night streets closed and flooded, took a while to get around it and to get home.

Just read there is a advisory out for the lake above 58R which is Beaverdam lot of trash, AEPCO is skimming it off says there are trees, car tires and other junk. So if you are up that way be caredful.

Pouring here in Salem tonight, lots of streets flooded and blocked, If you are out in
Roanoke be careful River had just got clear guess its muddy and high again.

Dry as a flippin bone at my house last night till after dark. About 11:00 we got a small storm with a cup full of rain.

Raining in Salem again today, not hard looks like the main storm is staying south towards the lake, poured here last night lot of flooding in Roanoke. River was up and muddy today when I came across it.
