I took a couple friends out Friday night for some Catfish. It was a beautiful night under an almost full moon and water like glass. Fishing was a little slow at first while we tried different areas but it really turned on a couple hours before dawn. We wound up anchoring in a cove with a drop off from 8" to 25". The first hit was an 8# cat with a lot of fight in him. We went home 7am with about 40# of Channels from 4# to 10# and several White Perch. Most of the Perch were caught on Shrimp; most of the cats caught on Shad.

sounds nice, aside from the occasional 5 pounder, it seems like all i catch for channel cats are literally all 18 inches and 3 pounds. i can spot an 18 inch 3lber from a mile away now, have literally caught hundreds of them that size from SML...
